So we were telling Ethan and Mary about “rules” last night and how they can keep us safe. One of our rules is to not jump on the couch, because whenever they do, they fall off and knock their noggins. When we pointed this out to Ethan he said, “Well, I think we should just get a bigger couch!”
Not a legend but the name was fun. This is just the random stuff I've thought about and want to remember. If you find it useful, hurray! If not, you'll know me better anyway.

Okay so I have another family night story.. We were talking about goals last time. I was baffled as to how to present that to the kids, so I put a box at the top of the stairs, gave them each two items, and told them our goal was to get the items in the box (hoping they’d get the point of having to try, try again, etc.)
Ethan looked at the box for about ten seconds, then marched to the top of the stairs and brought it down to us saying, "This should make it easier." hee hee :p

LOL, you can combine the rules and the goals, and give them rules that they can’t break as they acheive their goals.
