I certainly haven’t perfected the matter yet, but so far I’ve got a few good ideas! (And you’re welcome to submit yours!)
If you know me you know my job has kept me hopping lately. But I’m enjoying it thoroughly. I feel like I’m making a difference here. The only place I’d rather be (oh, besides maybe an island resort!) is with my kids. I’m thankful for that.
I may be jinxing myself to say so, but I hope to get back into a regular pattern of posting here. Its therapeutic (because then I feel like someone cares about what I think!) and I think its a good personal history as well. This will be one of my goals for the new year.
In the meantime take care, and keep writing!
Here are a couple of pics of my favorite little girl!
This is how our beautiful canyon looked right before the fires we had a few weeks ago. Enjoy the picture!
Last Tuesday I started my new job. I am really excited to be here: the people are great, and I’m learning new things every day.
My mom is interviewing for a teacher position and needed a really fun way of saying “thanks for the interview, I hope I make the team!” kind of thing. So my dad came up with the idea of making a baseball card. I shot the photos while my mom posed, then with a bit of photoshop magic and some time working with the guys at Kinkos, we had this result:
Ethan fell asleep on the office chairs here while I was searching for jobs. He looked so cute I just had to take a picture. It was kindof a tough take, too, as my camera […]
This is Ethan and Mary at the AF 3rd Ward Picnic. We’d finished our dinners, had talked to a ton of people, and were just waiting for a ride back home from Grandma and Grandpa.
Job searching can be a bit frustrating. I have decided though to keep a light heart, work hard, send my resume every time I get a chance, and hope for the best.
I am in Utah now looking for a job either in technical support or web design. I have 4 years of experience designing websites, graphics, and animations, and six years of experience in helpdesk and technical support.
If you’re aware of a job in Utah that would fit this description, which has health benefits — the fact that I need health insurance is the reason I’m switching from freelancing to full time — you can find a .pdf version of my resume here. You’re welcome to print it and give it to your company, or write me if you are aware of a job for which I’d qualify… in fact I’d greatly appreciate you for it. Meanwhile I’ll be pounding the pavement. Pray for me and wish me luck. 🙂
This client was making a baseball animation in Flash and couldn’t draw the batter. So he outsourced that part to me. Animating a batter was a bit more difficult than I thought it would be .. tweening just wouldn’t cut it in this case so I had to draw it frame by frame.
Actually these are photos from the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point. Some of these animals were cute, and some were downright scary looking. Enjoy the pics! Some of these are at this site in 800×600 for your enjoyment. Just write me if you use them. 🙂
