If you knew me when I was a kid, you knew I was a huge nerd. So who would have thought I wouldn’t finish my first college degree until after I had kids of my own?
With the exception of a few months scattered here and there, I’ve had to work since I was a teenager. And since I got divorced, the single mom gig has kept me all the more busy. While I have enjoyed my career and most of the companies I’ve worked with, any college work I have done has been pretty slow going.
Now Automattic is giving me a three month break, so I decided to finally go back and finish my degree. I’m just taking a six credit math class and working on my house when I’m not doing homework. I’ll be graduating with people who are young enough to be my kids, and it’s only an Associates Degree in University Studies, but I’m pretty excited anyway. And my kids say they’re pretty proud of me, too. 🙂
Okay, That is why I do not see you on the forums. Well, I am so happy for you, and I apprecaite your help! Best of Luck, @supernovia!

Velda, I hardly know you and I’m proud of you! What it takes to be a single parent and hold it all together, while doing something as challenging as finishing a degree of any kind,…well it is certainly legendary! You truly are a warrior princess. God is proud of His daughter I’m sure.

I cleared my high-school degree after 4 years repeated attempt 🙂
Long story, I got passed in 2017.
